New to the site:

A reservoir implements a successful Controlled Release Program right here in New York...proof it can  be done.

A gauge right here in West Nyack that tells us what is happening with the Hackensack and maybe even when flooding is imminent - plus its data is available in real time on line.

• The Rockland Journal News prints articles about the flooding issues in West Nyack.  Read them here.

• The Hackensack River Natural Area Improvement and Flood Management Project from 1998 is posted on the documents page.  This is only a partial document.  It is most of the executive summary and offers a lot of insight into the document that was a precursor to the new plan that creates the Levee at Rt. 59.  The part referencing (Area 4) in the middle of page ES-6 is about the Levee at Lake Lodico.

• Take a moment to review the 1965 Lake Tappan Decision that authorized the creation of the Lake Tappan Reservoir.
